Presentation: Writing high performance applications in Oracle and Perl, Henrik Johnson

Many of you might have developed small scale database applications in Perl and databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL. Taking the step to working with Oracle is initially as easy as changing your data source. But to fully take advantage of Oracle there are a lot of do's and don't you need to think of some of which are Oracle specific and other have to do with large database volumes in general. This prsentation will start with describing some general pointers to think about when creating an Oracle databases for large volumes and high performance and then go into how to write your PERL program to fully utalize the full potential of your performance.
