The Nordic Perl Workshop 2004 Abstract
Using Perl for iCalendar manipulation (Christian Borup)
45 minutes, Intermediate, in English
iCalender is the emerging standart for interchange of calendaring and
scheduling information. Most calendar related software today is able
exchange data in iCalendar format, and quite a few open source programs
even use the format internally. This includes everything from large
groupware systems to PDA and even mobile phones.
This talk will focus on the tools needed for using Perl to glue between
these programs. Using an open standard like iCalendar makes the task of
gluing those programs together possible, and Perl makes it fun.
